Course Description – Econometrics II
Econometrics II is an advanced undergraduate course that builds upon foundational econometric techniques to emphasize empirical applications. The course focuses on time series analysis and advanced panel data methods, including fixed and random effects models, instrumental variable (IV) estimation, and two-stage least squares (2SLS). It is computationally intensive, with an emphasis on hands-on implementation using software such as STATA or R. Students participate in lab sessions and collaborate on a term project that develops skills in independent quantitative research and real-world data analysis.
