ADA University is currently recruiting reliable and dedicated instructors to teach in the English for Academic and Professional Purposes (EAPP) program, with a start date in mid- August 2024. They are seeking candidates who are native speakers of English or who have a proven background of being educated in English-medium instruction throughout their entire academic history. The primary goal of the EAPP is to advance elementary level students to an upper-intermediate/advanced level of English proficiency and ensure they graduate with the essential academic skills needed to thrive in an English-medium educational setting.

Teaching responsibilities

1. Developing coherent, communicative language teaching based syllabus;
2. Providing a quality communicative langauge teaching based instruction in accordance with the syllabus and course component outlines;
3. Conducting placement tests and reporting the results in a timely manner;
4. Assessing students’ academic and language-related needs;
5. Administering assessment tools regulary and in a timely manner to provide students with feedback on their language learning processes, and to review the effectivenees of instruction;
6. Establishing and keeping regular office hours;
7. Assigning final grades and writing final narrative evaluations;
8. Other duties directly related to the academic affairs of the department assigned by ımmediate supervisor or his/her superior officials in the hierarchy.

Administrative responsibilities

1. Attending related staff and university meetings;
2. Developing, planning, and distributing class syllabi and learning materials of the specific program and archiving your materials for use by future administrators and instructors;
3. Coordinating class syllabi so that classes are complementary and mutually reinforcing;
4. Coordinating assignments and projects so that students have an even distribution of homework;
5. Participating in program orientation and closing activities;
6. Abiding by all the rules and regulations of ADA University.

Tələblər

In order to deliver high-quality language instruction in the EAPP, instructors have to meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Master’s degree in a related field (such as Education, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, TEFL/TESL) or a Bachelor’s degree plus CELTA, TESOL, or any other globally recognized teaching and methodology certificate;
• Provide a proven record of at least 3 years of successful teaching experience in general and/or academic English;
• Possess proficiency in using educational technology;
• Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
